Biography


Linda Kunik is a painter, photographer and installation artist whose work deals with environmental issues, formalism and globalization. She currently lives and works in southern California. Linda was born in Chicago, Illinois, where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Cum Laude from the University of Illinois and a Masters Degree, Cum Laude from DePaul University. In 1978 she moved to California where she began to study art and painting. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with Honors from Otis College of Art and Design. In addition, she has studied painting in Italy and France. She recently mentored with Newton and Helen Mayer Harrison on their LA & the Rising of Waters Exhibition.

Linda is a member of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art Photographic Arts Council and Docent Council. She is also involved with many environmental organizations including the Natural Resources Defense Council, Greenpeace, Nature Conservancy, and Tree People and is listed in the Women Environmental Artists Directory
